Featured Artists
this month is

Carolina Garcia-Freundt
& Garundt.

Carolina and Garundt are not only born from the same parents and raised in the same household – they also share the same  passion: art. In this exhibition their works are juxtaposed inviting the viewer to compare and contrast the expression of two  artists who share approximately 50% of their DNA. “Siblings” celebrates family and explores both the possibility of aesthetic  similarities brought by this bond and the uniqueness of an artist’s voice regardless of blood and background.

Carolina Garcia-Freundt

Carolina Garcia-Freundt is a Peruvian-born artist based in Miami, Florida. She works with watercolors, acrylics, and mixed media, using a variety of  surfaces such as paper, wood, and canvas.Carolina draws inspiration from everyday life experiences and how the mind processes them—whether  through expression, suppression, or transformation into feelings, expectations, and dreams. Her approach to art is highly intuitive; she begins each

piece without a clear vision of the final result, allowing her intuition to guide the process and materialize unconscious visions. In recent years, her work has focused on exploring the influence of media on daily life and its role in shaping societal norms, particularly regarding  women’s roles and expectations. In 2023, Carolina founded the Biscayne Art Collective in Miami, a community of visual artists who live and create  around Biscayne Bay, a stunning natural environment. The collective fosters collaboration, ideas exchange, and mutual support among its  members. The artist also shares her expertise and personal philosophy through creativity workshops at her Miami studio.

Garundt

Garundt is a Peruvian born, Miami-based multidisciplinary artist. He uses spiritual motifs as symbols to point the audience towards states beyond  the intellect. His latest work employs the multiplication processes used in printmaking and loops in animation to emulate the repetition of a visual  mantra, seeking to focus the mind of the viewer and push it towards the unknown. Not devoted to any particular medium, he sees techniques and  materials solely as different tools to achieve the same end: the manipulation of form to connect to formlessness.

Before becoming a full-time artist, Garundt was a creative director for a cable network and a content agency and has directed various short films and  music videos. He was also a member of the Miami indie-rock band Modernage, and currently part of power trio Condors and Chaos.
